Tutoring

Since my sophomore year of college, I have been running my own private math tutoring business. At present, I have over a thousand hours of tutoring experience, covering subjects ranging all the way from middle school level prealgebra to graduate level analysis. I consider myself to be an expert in any high school or lower-level undergraduate math, and I feel comfortable tutoring many more advanced undergraduate and graduate-level subjects.

For more detail about my experience (and to see testimony from former clients), you can check out my online tutoring profile at www.wyzant.com/tutors/Aaron_B. Please, however, do not contact me through Wyzant; it is better to get in touch with me outside of their system so that I don't lose commission to them.

My base rate for most lower-level subjects is $60 per hour, but that goes up for higher-level courses (above introductory calculus). I am willing to meet online or in-person if the meeting location is sufficiently close by to me (if you are a student from UT Austin, meeting on campus will be fine for me).

Please read this disclaimer: due to high demand, I may not be able to meet with every student that reaches out to me. Often, whether or not I accept a tutoring gig depends on the specific circumstances, since I am usually very busy with my own studies and other responsibilities. For example, frequency and convenience of the meetings, the subject matter at hand, and my current workload are all factors in whether or not I will be willing to work with a student. But with that said, I welcome any and all requests, and will try to be as accommodating as possible.

Also important: if you're interested in reaching out to me about tutoring, please do so via transcendent.math.tutoring [at] gmail [dot] com (instead of my utexas email) because that's the one I use for my private tutoring business.
